Abu Dhabi Hosts NAVDEX 2025 With Warships From Eight Nations Showcasing Maritime Defence Innovations

Warships from across the globe have arrived at ADNEC Marina in Abu Dhabi for the eighth Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025. Scheduled from 17 to 21 February 2025, this event runs alongside the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX). Organised by ADNEC Group with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, it is under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The exhibition will showcase naval fleets from eight countries: UAE, Bahrain, Oman, UK, Pakistan, Greece, South Korea, and India. Commodore Rashed Ibrahim Rashed Al-Muhaisni, Chairman of NAVDEX's Maritime Committee, expressed pride in hosting global leaders and decision-makers at IDEX and NAVDEX. He stated that this edition would be the largest since its inception.

NAVDEX 2025: Global Warships Gather in Abu Dhabi

This year's NAVDEX will feature 21 vessels from allied nations and newly manufactured ships highlighting Emirati defence technology. Participants can display various vessels at the NAVDEX live demonstration area and Mina Zayed for larger ships. This edition marks a significant increase in both international and local participation.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Defence Events Advisor at ADNEC Group, noted that NAVDEX has become a premier platform for showcasing naval defence innovations. The expansion of exhibition space and increased participation reaffirm Abu Dhabi's status as a global defence hub. The event welcomes decision-makers to explore future maritime defence horizons.

NAVDEX serves as a platform for strategic collaboration and knowledge exchange in maritime defence. It offers exhibitors a chance to display vessels in a waterborne exhibition area with floating docks. A daily schedule of live demonstrations will engage visitors with maritime technologies in action.

The event organisers have welcomed naval vessels arriving at ADNEC Marina through the waterway. Mina Zayed has also received several participating ships, enhancing the event's global presence. This diverse range of ships varies in size and purpose.

NAVDEX Talks: Exploring Emerging Trends

NAVDEX 2025 will include NAVDEX Talks—lectures and panel discussions on emerging trends and advancements in naval defence technology. Experts will present real-world case studies during these sessions. The talks aim to highlight technological progress within the sector.

Guests at the grandstand overlooking the waterfront will have front-row views of maritime technologies during live demonstrations. These demonstrations are led by exhibitors themselves, providing an engaging experience for attendees.

NAVDEX 2025 brings together industry leaders, decision-makers, influencers, and experts to shape the future of naval defence. This distinguished gathering underscores its importance in advancing maritime security technologies globally.
