Abu Dhabi University Achieves New Heights In QS World Rankings By Subject 2024
Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has achieved significant recognition in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2024, marking a notable advancement in its global and regional standing. The university has shown impressive progress in the Social Sciences and Management broad subject areas, climbing 163 places to rank first in the UAE and 288th globally. This achievement underscores ADU's commitment to academic excellence and its growing influence on the global educational stage.
In addition to its broad subject area success, ADU has demonstrated substantial growth in several narrow subject areas. The university's Business and Management Studies programs have advanced by 100 places, now ranking between 151-200 globally and maintaining the top position in the UAE. Engineering – Mechanical, Aeronautical, and Manufacturing has also seen a significant rise, moving up 50 places to rank between 401-450 globally.

For the first time, ADU has entered the rankings in Accounting and Finance, securing a position in the 251-300 range globally and second in the UAE. The Engineering – Electrical and Electronic, and Computer Science and Information Systems rankings also welcomed ADU for the first time, with positions in the 501-530 and 551-600 ranges globally, respectively.
The Engineering and Technology subject areas at ADU have received an increase in their overall score, with notable improvements across specific subjects. The most significant enhancement was observed in the Computer Science and Information Systems ranking. Compared to the 2023 rankings, both the overall score for Engineering and Technology and its specific subject areas have seen an upward trend. The highest increase in citations was noted in Computer Science and Information Systems, while Engineering – Electrical and Electronic experienced a substantial boost in Academic Reputation and Institutional Research Network (IRN).
