Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Event Welcomes Its 100,000th Visitor
ADNEC Group has celebrated a major achievement for Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) and Al Ain Summer Sports (AASS), as the events welcomed their 100,000th visitor this summer. This milestone highlights the events' success in promoting an active community in the UAE capital.
These editions of ADSS and AASS introduced several new sports activities, including action cricket, tennis, and an obstacle course. These complemented returning favourites like football, padel, a running track, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and a Technogym functional fitness area.

The new Community Village in Abu Dhabi created a lively hub for social interaction. It offered a space where friends and family could enjoy various entertainment and activities together. These additions have broadened the event's appeal and reinforced its mission to promote a healthy lifestyle among Abu Dhabi residents.
This year's edition also featured a wellness programme with tailored training sessions, mindfulness practices, and a recovery zone for rejuvenation. The ADSS and AASS launched the Kids Summer Camp to encourage an active lifestyle through diverse sporting, educational, and recreational activities for children during the hot summer months.
Organised by Capital 360 Event Experiences, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ADSS and AASS have grown in popularity each year. This summer's edition offered an even broader array of sports and wellness activities catering to all ages and fitness levels.
Now in their third and second editions respectively, ADSS and AASS have become essential parts of Abu Dhabi's summer activities. They provide visitors with opportunities to stay fit, healthy, and engaged throughout the summer.
A Vital Part of Abu Dhabi's Summer Calendar
As ADSS and AASS continue to grow each summer, ADNEC Group remains dedicated to enhancing these events annually. Their focus on community engagement and promoting wellness has positioned ADSS and AASS as more than just sports events – they celebrate the spirit of Abu Dhabi.
ADSS will continue until 23rd August, while AASS will run until 25th August. These dates ensure that residents can enjoy these activities throughout most of the summer season.
"The success of these events underscores our commitment to fostering a vibrant community," said an ADNEC Group representative. "We aim to provide something for everyone regardless of fitness levels or skills."
The inclusion of new features like action cricket and obstacle courses has not only attracted more visitors but also diversified the range of activities available. This variety ensures that there is something for everyone at these events.
The continued growth in attendance each year reflects the increasing popularity of these events. With each edition offering more activities, both ADSS and AASS have become key fixtures in Abu Dhabi's summer calendar.
