Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts To Launch With Historic Classical Horsemanship Performances

Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) is set to become the Middle East's hub for classical horsemanship. The official opening is scheduled for 1st November with a two-day ceremony. This expansive 65,000-square-metre estate focuses on preserving and teaching the haute école tradition of equestrian art, joining esteemed institutions in Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France.

The opening weekend promises a remarkable event on 1st-2nd November 2025. Visitors will witness a historic showcase at ADREA where all four heritage schools of classical horsemanship will perform together with ADREA in an extraordinary performance on one stage.

Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts Opening Ceremony

The Spanish Riding School of Vienna will present its famous Lipizzaner stallions and the Ballet of the White Stallions. Meanwhile, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Arts will display Andalusia’s renowned dancing horses, showcasing their passion and tradition. These performances represent centuries of artistry.

The Portuguese School of Equestrian Art will highlight the precision and heritage of the Lusitano horse. Additionally, Cadre Noir De Saumur will offer a unique blend of haute école horsemanship and performing arts. Together, these schools bring a rich tapestry of equestrian excellence to Abu Dhabi.

Completing this impressive line-up, Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts will introduce its own ensemble of riders and horses. This marks the UAE’s first permanent home for classical horsemanship, blending Emirati heritage with haute école tradition to add a new dimension to this art form.

Gala attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to explore ADREA’s new home on Jubail Island. They can attend official opening performances and experience the school before its wider debut. This offers a rare glimpse into the future of equestrian arts in the region.

A Refined Experience for Attendees

During the two-day gala, guests can enjoy interactive talks and activations. A tour of an all-equestrian library featuring rare works is also planned. Curated food and beverage offerings will enhance this refined and immersive atmosphere for all attendees.

This event not only celebrates equestrian traditions but also marks a significant cultural milestone for Abu Dhabi. By hosting such an international collaboration, ADREA positions itself as a leading institution in preserving and promoting classical horsemanship in the Middle East.
