Abu Dhabi Teams Up With Rotana For Exclusive Summer Tourist Promotions

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Rotana Hotel Management Corp have entered into a partnership to boost tourism in the emirate this summer. This collaboration aims to enhance the visitor experience through exclusive promotions and benefits for attractions such as Louvre Abu Dhabi, The National Aquarium, and Qasr Al Watan.

This agreement, effective until September 2024, underscores DCT Abu Dhabi’s commitment to partnerships that reinforce the emirate’s appeal as a year-round travel destination. It aligns with DCT Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which seeks to expand hotel room availability from 34,000 in 2023 to 52,000 by 2030. The strategy also aims to increase visitor numbers from nearly 24 million in 2023 to 39.3 million by 2030 and raise the tourism sector’s GDP contribution from AED 49 billion in 2023 to AED 90 billion annually by 2030.

The ambitious blueprint of DCT Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030 signals a new era of expansion and strategic development in the emirate’s travel and tourism sector. This strategy is designed to attract more tourists and provide a wide range of experiences for all visitors. Present at the signing were key representatives from both organisations. From DCT Abu Dhabi: Valentina Sanna, Regional Head; Tala El Rabbat, Lead Celebrity Engagement; Mohamed Khater, Domestic Unit Head; Abdulla Yousuf; and Saleh Al Geziry, Director General. Representing Rotana Hotel Management Corp were Shaikha Al Nowais, VP Owners Relationship Management; Philip Barnes; and Amal Harb, VP Marketing.
