Abu Dhabi Quality And Conformity Council Reviews Strategy For Enhanced Service Excellence

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) recently hosted a strategic retreat to evaluate the Abu Dhabi Quality Policy and Strategy. This initiative aims to establish Abu Dhabi as a leader in quality standards. Representatives from various government bodies across the emirate participated in this event, which is part of QCC's broader vision to enhance the quality of life throughout Abu Dhabi.

Eng. Fahad Gharib Al Shamsi, Acting Secretary-General at QCC, highlighted the collective efforts needed to achieve Abu Dhabi's quality aspirations. He noted that these efforts would improve the quality of life and bolster Abu Dhabi's global standing. Al Shamsi expressed confidence in the emirate's ambitious vision and determination to achieve significant milestones in quality standards.

QCC Reviews Strategy for Service Excellence

The Abu Dhabi Quality Strategy sets forth objectives focused on improving service quality, increasing transparency, and boosting efficiency. These goals are pursued through ongoing evaluation and enhancement of current systems and procedures. By establishing clear quality standards, the strategy aims to build public trust and demonstrate Abu Dhabi's dedication to achieving top-tier quality levels.

Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Yazeedi, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector, underscored the retreat's significance: "Through this strategy, QCC aims to strengthen partnerships and collaboration between government entities across the emirate, which will contribute to improving services, enhancing economic growth, and elevating the overall quality of life in the future."

Al Yazeedi emphasised that achieving these objectives requires teamwork and effective cooperation among stakeholders. He pointed out that partnerships between public and private sectors are crucial for success. Additionally, identifying gaps in quality infrastructure at both national and international levels is essential for guiding future initiatives.

Abu Dhabi has made notable strides recently, with the UAE climbing six spots in the 2024 Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development Index by UNIDO. The UAE advanced from 11th to 5th place globally among countries with GDPs between USD 100 billion and USD 1 trillion. It also ranked 22nd worldwide across all categories.

Commitment to Future Progress

The retreat concluded with all involved parties agreeing to actively engage in implementing this strategy. They reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration and coordination to meet their goals. Together, they aim to realise their ambitions and improve living standards in Abu Dhabi.

This achievement highlights ongoing efforts towards fulfilling national strategic goals. The progress reflects a commitment to enhancing service delivery while maintaining high-quality standards across various sectors within Abu Dhabi.
