Abu Dhabi Quality And Conformity Council Launches New Services For Enhanced Construction Material Quality

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) has introduced two new services at its Construction Materials Testing Laboratory. This initiative, part of the Central Testing Laboratory Services Sector, aims to improve the quality of materials used in Abu Dhabi's major construction projects. It supports sustainable development and a knowledge-based economy by ensuring compliance with approved standards.

These new services include Polymer Content Testing and Steel Wire Testing. They are designed to meet the needs of key stakeholders and ensure adherence to international standards. The introduction of these services comes as large-scale projects accelerate across the Emirate, emphasizing the need for reliable, high-quality materials to enhance infrastructure safety and resilience.

The Polymer Content Testing service offers advanced analysis of plastic materials with high precision. This local alternative reduces costs and turnaround times for companies and government entities by eliminating the need to send samples abroad. It also enhances local testing capabilities, supporting contractors and engineering consultancies in delivering top-quality projects.

Meanwhile, the Steel Wire Testing service evaluates mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation, and hardness. This ensures compliance with international standards, providing valuable support to contractors and engineering consultancies in maintaining project quality and reliability.

ADQCC highlighted that these specialised services will bolster investor and developer confidence.
