Golden Helmet Awards: Abu Dhabi Recognises Excellence In Construction Safety

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), through its City Planning Sector - Environment, Health and Safety Department, recently celebrated the achievements of the building and construction sector by hosting the Golden Helmet Award Ceremony. This event, which took place in the presence of Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director-General of ADM, aimed to recognise the outstanding contributions of companies operating within the municipality's geographical scope, including both contractors and consultants.

The Golden Helmet Award is designed to ignite a competitive spirit among participants, encouraging them to elevate their health and safety practices. By honouring companies that excel in specific award categories and meet stringent criteria, ADM seeks to not only improve the construction sector's safety standards but also foster a closer relationship with the private sector. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance awareness and education regarding Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices, ultimately aiming to minimise occupational incidents, injuries, and property damage.

Abu Dhabi Awards Construction Safety Excellence

One of the core objectives of the Golden Helmet Award is to motivate construction companies to place a high priority on adhering to EHS laws and regulations. By doing so, these companies demonstrate their commitment to fostering a safe and comfortable working environment for their employees. The award also encourages creativity and innovation in achieving these safety standards, underscoring ADM's dedication to implementing best practices in occupational health and safety across the construction industry.

The ceremony not only served as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the winning companies but also highlighted ADM's ongoing commitment to leading by example in promoting a culture of safety within the construction sector. Through initiatives like the Golden Helmet Award, ADM continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring that health and safety remain at the forefront of industry priorities.
