Abu Dhabi Judicial Body Reviews Ten Attorneys' Registration Extensions

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) recently made significant strides in the legal field by updating its list of practising attorneys. During a meeting led by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, the Under-Secretary of the ADJD, the Lawyers Affairs Committee approved the inclusion of a new citizen lawyer to the roster of active legal practitioners. This decision underscores the department's commitment to enhancing legal services and ensuring the availability of qualified professionals to meet the community's needs.

In addition to welcoming a new lawyer into its fold, the committee meticulously reviewed the applications of ten attorneys whose registrations had lapsed for over two months. This careful scrutiny is part of the ADJD's ongoing efforts to maintain high standards within the legal profession in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting also served as a platform for addressing concerns related to the legal community. The committee deliberated on three complaints lodged against lawyers, taking decisive actions to resolve these issues. Furthermore, it examined seven requests from lawyers, culminating in the approval of a lawyer’s office representative's registration on the official list.

The committee's operations were overseen by a distinguished panel comprising legal and judicial experts. Alongside Counsellor Al Abri, the meeting included notable figures such as Judge Bushaib Hajami, President of the Al Ain Court of Appeal; Judge Assem Al Saadani from the Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal; Counsellor Muhammad Dhuwayher Al Kathiri from the Public Prosecution; and Counsellor Ali Al Fraihat. Attorney Abdullah Fadl Al Hammadi and Khamis Mubarak Al Qubaisi, director of the division of lawyers and experts’ affairs, also played pivotal roles, with Al Qubaisi acting as the committee’s rapporteur.

This assembly of esteemed professionals underscores the ADJD's dedication to leveraging expert insights in its decision-making processes. By involving a broad spectrum of judicial and legal expertise, the department ensures that its actions are well-informed and aligned with both legal standards and public interest.

Commitment to Legal Excellence

The recent meeting and its outcomes reflect the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department's unwavering commitment to upholding and enhancing the quality of legal practice within the emirate. By rigorously evaluating applications, addressing complaints against practitioners, and updating its list of active lawyers, the ADJD plays a crucial role in fostering a robust legal environment. This not only benefits those seeking legal assistance but also contributes to the overall integrity and efficiency of Abu Dhabi's judicial system.

As Abu Dhabi continues to grow and evolve, the role of skilled legal professionals becomes increasingly important. The ADJD's proactive approach in managing its roster of attorneys ensures that individuals and businesses alike can access competent legal representation when needed. This initiative is just one aspect of the department's broader mission to support justice, fairness, and transparency across all facets of society.
