Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Highlights Justice On International Law Day

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) marked International Law Day on 13th September, underscoring the significance of law in safeguarding rights and fulfilling duties. This celebration aims to promote justice, equality, security, and societal stability.

In line with this occasion, the Judicial Department organised various educational activities to raise legal awareness and introduce new legislation. These efforts align with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD. The goal is to enhance knowledge and spread legal awareness among community members.

ADJD Celebrates Law Day

Counselor Yousef Saeed Alabri, Under-Secretary of ADJD, highlighted the UAE's advanced legislative and judicial system. He stated that it adapts to changes across sectors to uphold the rule of law, achieve justice, and protect rights. This system supports the UAE's competitive global position through a forward-looking approach guided by wise leadership.

Alabri emphasised the importance of International Law Day in reaffirming the rule of law's role in ensuring security and stability. He noted that this principle helps guarantee that all society members' rights are protected in every aspect of life.

Counselor Ali Mohammed Al Balushi, Attorney-General of Abu Dhabi, stressed that International Law Day highlights laws' role in maintaining order and promoting stability. He explained that laws protect people's rights across various contexts, contributing to an integrated system supporting sustainable development under a just legal framework.

Al Balushi pointed out that the UAE prioritises establishing the rule of law by keeping up with recent laws and regulations. The country ensures these laws are applied effectively across different sectors, enhancing its competitiveness both locally and globally.

The ADJD's participation in International Law Day reflects its commitment to fostering a legally aware society. By organising events focused on legal education and new legislation, they aim to strengthen community understanding of legal principles.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to maintain a robust legal system that supports sustainable development and modernisation. Through continuous adaptation to new laws and regulations, the UAE aims to uphold justice and equality for all its citizens.
