Abu Dhabi Investment Office Announces 29 Strategic Partnerships To Enhance Autonomous Mobility Solutions
Abu Dhabi is making strides in autonomous mobility, with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) announcing 29 commercial deployment agreements. These agreements were unveiled during the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, part of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week. This initiative positions Abu Dhabi as a leader in integrating autonomous technologies into its regulatory and infrastructure framework.
The agreements involve collaborations with companies like K2, LODD Autonomous, Autologix, Sinaha, TractEasy, MLG, and Space42. These partnerships aim to transition from pilot phases to full-scale commercial deployment. The city is becoming a hub for next-generation autonomous technology companies looking to innovate and expand their operations.

Sinaha Technology, based in Abu Dhabi, is at the forefront of logistics innovation. They are developing AI-driven solutions that transform goods movement. Their projects include autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs) that operate continuously to cut emissions and costs. Additionally, intelligent warehouses powered by robotics and AI enhance logistics efficiency.
Abu Dhabi's aerial logistics network is also evolving through drone delivery pilots led by LODD. Collaborating with PureLab, EMX, Noon, and Aramex, these pilots explore the potential of unmanned aerial systems for secure medical transport and scalable parcel delivery between hubs and community zones.
K2 leads initiatives to scale autonomous logistics in collaboration with Talabat, EMX, ENEC, Noon, and the Department of Municipalities and Transport. These pilots cover both air and land applications. They demonstrate how AI-enabled electric vehicles and drones can revolutionise last- and middle-mile delivery.
The introduction of fully electric Robosweepers and autonomous ground fleets highlights Abu Dhabi's commitment to real-world autonomy. These innovations enhance productivity while supporting net-zero targets. They reinforce the emirate's status as a global hub for smart mobility.
Groundbreaking Partnerships
A partnership between Autologix (a joint venture of 7X and Zelostech) and Emirates Post marks a significant development in ground delivery pilots for heavy goods. Level 4 autonomous cargo vehicles will be deployed in Abu Dhabi without a driver’s cab or steering wheel. These purpose-built vehicles represent a new generation of urban logistics that prioritises safety and efficiency.
The Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC) plays a crucial role in enabling this transformation by creating an environment conducive to testing commercial viability. SASC ensures comprehensive real-world testing across various transportation modes.
Abu Dhabi's Vision for Smart Mobility
Badr Al Olama, Director-General of ADIO, stated: "Abu Dhabi is leading the transformation in smart mobility and logistics... Together, they represent a defining moment where technology begins to function as a viable part of the global economy." This vision aligns regulation, infrastructure development, and industry advancement for seamless deployment.
The focus on e-commerce, healthcare delivery, and critical logistics reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as an attractive destination for emerging industries seeking rapid growth. The city’s integrated approach aligns infrastructure with regulation under SASC to advance sustainable freight solutions.
These initiatives collectively showcase how autonomy is redefining efficiency while enhancing safety standards. By positioning itself as a leader in smart mobility regulation excellence globally—Abu Dhabi charts its course towards future autonomous economies.
