Abu Dhabi International Dates Exhibition 2025 Officially Launched With Global Participation And Focus On Sustainability

The Abu Dhabi International Dates Exhibition commenced its 11th edition on 21st October 2025. This event, featuring 90 booths from 18 countries, showcases global date producers and exporters. It aligns with the UAE's vision of using agricultural innovation to boost food security and sustainability. Organised by the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, it coincides with World Food Week and the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition.

Dr. Abdelouahhab Alboukhari Zaid, Secretary General of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, emphasised the exhibition's role in promoting Abu Dhabi as a hub for agricultural innovation and sustainability in date-based industries. "The exhibition reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting date palm cultivation and promoting international cooperation to develop the date sector by showcasing the latest innovations and technologies that enhance the sustainability of this vital sector," he stated.

Launch of Abu Dhabi Dates Exhibition 2025

This exhibition serves as a significant platform for companies involved in date palm cultivation, production, and trade. It aims to bolster Abu Dhabi’s status as a leader in supporting agricultural innovation. Dr. Zaid highlighted that the event is pivotal in showcasing innovations that enhance sustainability within this essential sector.

The exhibition is recognised as the largest of its kind globally, offering exhibitors a chance to display their products, exchange knowledge, and expand their market presence. Dr. Zaid noted that this year's session is notably larger than previous ones due to increased participation from national, Arab, and international entities.

The success of this event is attributed to guidance from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister. The close oversight of Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, also plays a crucial role. Additionally, H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan provides supervision as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development.

Since its inception, the Khalifa International Award has significantly advanced the date sector at various levels through numerous international festivals across nine countries. Dr. Zaid expressed gratitude for how the exhibition has evolved over ten years into an incubator for date producers worldwide.

The exhibition has greatly enhanced product quality and increased demand in international markets by serving as a platform for Arab and global date producers. Dr. Zaid acknowledged that it has improved dates' reputation globally while contributing significantly to market growth.
