Abu Dhabi To Host The World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention In October 2027 For Global Business Leaders
The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce has announced that Abu Dhabi will host the 19th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) in October 2027. This event is a significant milestone for the UAE, highlighting its role as a hub for international business and cultural exchange. The convention will take place at the ADNEC Centre, drawing approximately 5,000 delegates.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, expressed pride in hosting the WCEC. He stated, "We are proud to host the 19th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention in the UAE. This event highlights the significance of our growing economic ties with China and the vast opportunities that lie ahead for both nations. We extend our warmest welcome to China’s global business community to the UAE and look forward to fostering deeper collaboration during this incredible event."
Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, shared his enthusiasm about Abu Dhabi hosting the event. He remarked, "We are delighted that Abu Dhabi has been selected to host the 19th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention in 2027. The WCEC is held biennially and serves as a premier platform for Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide. It aims to enhance economic cooperation and foster cultural exchanges among overseas Chinese business communities. The event's history dates back to 1991, with previous editions hosted in various global cities.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted how this prestigious event aligns with their vision for Abu Dhabi. He said it strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a global business destination and builds lasting partnerships driving international trade and investment.
Saeed Al Fazari from Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism noted that hosting such events underscores the capital’s reputation as a world-class venue for international gatherings and cultural exchanges.

The WCEC will feature high-level discussions, networking sessions, and exhibitions aimed at promoting economic growth and cross-border collaboration. It offers a unique opportunity to showcase the UAE’s dynamic business environment while building bridges between Chinese and Emirati businesses.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by several dignitaries including Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of China to the UAE; Tang Zhengang, Chairman of CGCCUAE; Zhu Mingtao from CGCCUAE; along with other notable figures.
This edition marks a first for Abu Dhabi as it hosts WCEC in the UAE. It further cements its status as a leading destination for international business events and investment opportunities.
