Abu Dhabi DoH And World Economic Forum Collaborate To Advance Intelligent Health Systems And Healthy Longevity

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and the World Economic Forum are entering a new phase of collaboration to develop intelligent health systems and promote healthy longevity, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s global position in preventive and personalised healthcare and aligning data, policy and technology around longer, healthier lives.

This phase builds on earlier joint work, including the white paper "A New Era for Digital Health: Abu Dhabi’s Leap to Health Intelligence," which described how Abu Dhabi connects clinical, genomic, lifestyle and environmental data to forecast risk, prevent disease and guide public policy at population level.

Under the renewed partnership, Abu Dhabi continues as a Global Pathfinder within the Forum’s Digital Healthcare Transformation Initiative, an international CEO and Minister-led platform that links more than 200 organisations from healthcare, technology, policy and investment to speed up health system change using digital tools, artificial intelligence and large-scale data innovation.

Shyam Bishen, Head of Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum, said, "As part of this next phase, Abu Dhabi will continue its role as a Global Pathfinder within the Forum’s Digital Healthcare Transformation platform, a global network that brings together more than 200 organisations across healthcare, technology, policy and investment to accelerate health system transformation worldwide."

The collaboration is designed to support several priority themes, including healthy longevity, with Abu Dhabi’s experience feeding into international discussions on intelligent health systems, evidence-based decision-making and integration of digital tools across entire health ecosystems, linking practice, policy and investment communities.

The work also connects with broader World Economic Forum health initiatives, such as the Healthy Longevity Initiative, the Chief Health Officers Community and the stakeholder-led Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience, offering channels to share Abu Dhabi’s health intelligence model with global policy-makers, industry leaders and investors.

Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said, "Today’s health systems are rich in individual innovation but held back by silos and a traditionally reactive approach. Through our collaboration with the World Economic Forum, we are shifting the global paradigm toward intelligent health infrastructure. Our goal is to build a personalised and proactive system that cares before it cures, enabling healthier, longer lives at a true population scale."

The agreement was signed in the presence of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Børge Brende and Larry Fink, highlighting senior engagement from government, the World Economic Forum and global finance in shaping future health intelligence models.

Through this expanded programme, Abu Dhabi aims to refine its intelligent health infrastructure while contributing lessons to other markets, supporting a shared agenda focused on prevention, resilience and healthy longevity, and aligning Abu Dhabi’s health strategy with international partners across policy, technology and investment networks.
