Abu Dhabi Government Showcases World-First Innovations And Strategic Partnerships At GITEX Global 2025

On the second day of GITEX Global 2025, the Abu Dhabi Government introduced a series of groundbreaking innovations and strategic alliances. These initiatives are part of its ambition to become the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027. Over 30 government and academic bodies are participating under the theme "AI-Native by Design, Community-Driven by Purpose," highlighting collaborations that enhance digital experiences.

The centrepiece of these announcements was the unveiling of an advanced version of TAMM, Abu Dhabi's super app. This app integrates more than 1,100 public and private services. Developed by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), TAMM now includes AI-driven features and intuitive Spaces that organise services around key life events.

Innovations and Partnerships Unveiled at GITEX

Among TAMM's latest features is AutoGov, the world's first AI public servant. This self-learning system autonomously handles routine government tasks like license renewals and bill payments. It allows residents to focus on more important matters by managing these tasks efficiently. Dr Mohamed Al Askar, Director-General of TAMM, stated, "This latest upgrade to TAMM leverages AI to adapt experiences to users’ profiles and preferences."

TAMM 4.0 introduces AI Vision and Smart Guide, which offer spoken and visual support for complex services. These features interpret user intent and validate documents visually. Additionally, TAMM Hologram provides mobile help centres where customers can interact with live agents appearing as holograms for real-time assistance.

TAMM by You is another new feature that enables users to share ideas for future services. This community-driven approach is a first for the region and aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community initiative. Two new TAMM Spaces — Mobility and Family — have been added alongside existing ones like Business and Property, bringing the total to five.

New partnerships have been formed to make government interactions faster and more connected. Collaborations with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) allow residents to buy and sell vehicles via TAMM. Integration with the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) facilitates seamless property transactions.

Enhancing Community Well-being

Collaborations with Abu Dhabi Police and the Family Development Foundation (FDF) aim to improve community well-being through AI-powered family services. Insurance purchasing through Shory simplifies protection for citizens, while the Integrated Contact Platform (ICP) connects users with instant verification services.

DMT announced five strategic partnerships focusing on smart urban ecosystems in Abu Dhabi. Partners include e&, Capgemini, Hikvision, Analog Studios, and Origen Technology. These partnerships aim to develop AI-driven municipal platforms, smart surveillance systems, digital twins, and urban intelligence solutions.

Smart Urban Ecosystem Initiatives

DMT also launched a Smart Inspection Robot equipped with AI sensors for maintenance at Family Park in Abu Dhabi. LivAI, a new Digital Twin Platform powered by AI, combines live data with predictive analytics for urban planning.

The vision extends beyond citizen services to foundational systems connecting people and decisions. New partnerships unveiled include CyberGate for cybersecurity, Core42 for cloud transformation, Etisalat by e& for digital infrastructure, and Microsoft for enhancing AI governance.

Data Initiatives and Customs Modernisation

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) showcased two data initiatives: Bayaan provides secure access to real-time data for decision-making; Tbyaan manages data standards efficiently. Additionally, Abu Dhabi Customs signed agreements with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Ras Al Khaimah Customs for integrated trade systems.

Abu Dhabi's intelligent mobility agenda expanded with four MoUs signed with AD Mobility. These include partnerships with Al Etihad Credit Bureau for data collaboration; AD Maritime for transport data integration; K2-L.L.C-S.PC for asset management; Tatweer Middle East & Africa LLC for mobility planning systems.

The 19 partnerships announced mark a significant collaboration milestone at GITEX Global 2025. By showcasing innovative projects and deepening global partnerships, Abu Dhabi reinforces its leadership in AI-driven innovation globally.
