Abu Dhabi To Host Inaugural Global Healthcare Week In May 2024
Under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the UAE capital is poised to host the first-ever Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week (ADGHW). Scheduled from 13th to 15th May 2024 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), this premier event is themed "accelerating the future of global healthcare" and promises to be a pivotal gathering for healthcare leaders, researchers, policymakers, specialists, investors, and entrepreneurs from around the world.
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulatory body for the healthcare sector in the Emirate, is hosting this significant event. The ADGHW is expected to draw an impressive network of over 5,000 attendees, including 1,000 delegates, 200 speakers, and 100 exhibitors. This always-on platform aims to foster a dynamic exchange of knowledge and experiences among experts on vital topics such as ageing populations, non-communicable diseases, mental health, and other prevalent challenges. It also seeks to initiate a robust dialogue on proactive healthcare delivery.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), emphasized the event's focus on driving impact through collaboration on priority topics. The goal is to co-design tangible outcomes and transformative initiatives with global players to foster responsible innovation and ensure a healthier tomorrow for all. Moreover, the three-day event will encompass the Future Health Summit, offering keynote speeches, panel sessions, and discussions on themes central to the healthcare industry.
