Sheikh Zayed Festival To Showcase Abu Dhabi Firefighter Challenge 2024
The Sheikh Zayed Festival 2023-2024, a prominent cultural and entertainment event in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, is set to host the 4th Abu Dhabi Firefighter Challenge from 5th to 7th March 2024. This event, organized by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority in partnership with "911 Challenge", marks a significant gathering of 200 firefighters from 16 different entities. It stands as the UAE's largest specialised civil defence and rescue competition, aiming to showcase the physical prowess and mental agility of participants from government, semi-government, and private sectors.
The 4th Abu Dhabi Firefighter Challenge is not just a test of strength and endurance; it's a platform for improving the overall fitness of firefighters and rescuers, highlighting their crucial role in society. The competition also serves as an educational tool, raising awareness about fire safety and fostering community trust in these vital sectors. Among the participating entities are notable names such as the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, General Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai, Dubai Police, and Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, alongside other key players from across the UAE.

The event will feature six challenging tests designed to push the participants to their limits. These challenges are crafted to assess the strength, endurance, and resilience of the firefighters and rescuers, ensuring that only the best and most prepared individuals shine through.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival welcomes visitors daily until 9th March 2024. The festival hours are from 16:00 to 00:00 on weekdays, extending to 01:00 on weekends and public holidays.
