Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week Launches With Focus On Innovation And Collaboration For ECD

The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week is set to begin at Erth Hotel, Abu Dhabi, and will run until 2nd November. This event is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA).

Over five days, regional and international experts will gather to drive innovation in early childhood development (ECD). The event aims to foster collaboration across sectors to bring about change in ECD. It will feature a variety of activities designed to inspire cooperation among participants.

Early Childhood Week Begins in Abu Dhabi

The first day, known as ECD Innovation Day, will host over 30 experts discussing key themes like building ecosystems and exploring emerging technologies. The day will highlight innovative startups and share insights from their founders. Six companies focusing on families and children in Abu Dhabi and the UAE will present their solutions.

Technological advancements transforming education, sports, family healthcare, and entertainment sectors will also be unveiled. These innovations aim to enhance user experiences and outcomes significantly. The event seeks to create impactful changes that benefit families and children.

Running alongside the main event is the ECD Research Convening from 29th-31st October. This interactive platform welcomes researchers from the UAE, Arab region, and Africa. It aims to inspire researchers by strengthening cooperation and innovation in early childhood development science.

The World Early Childhood Development Forum (WED Forum) begins on 30th October for two days. Participants from various sectors will collaborate to shape actionable outcomes that advance both local and international ECD agendas. This forum is crucial for driving innovation in early childhood development.

Community Engagement Activities

A series of city-wide activations led by key partners will run parallel to the main events. Partners include National Academy for Childhood Development, Mubadala, ADQ, Aldar, E&, MODON, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, ADNOC, Pure Health, Emirates Foundation, Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Department of Health, Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development, Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi Media Network and Erth.

The second edition of The Early Childhood Development Fair will take place from 31st October to 2nd November at Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi. Sponsored by the National Academy for Childhood Development, it aims to create an interactive environment for community members to engage with leading providers of educational programmes.

This week-long event promises a comprehensive exploration into early childhood development through innovation, research collaboration, community engagement activities, and more.
