DoE to Lead at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025

The DoE's involvement aims to bolster Abu Dhabi's status as a leader in energy and sustainability. Their participation will highlight efforts to drive sustainable growth and innovative solutions while supporting the UAE’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. This aligns with their ongoing commitment to environmental progress.

Dr. Abdullah Hamid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the DoE, stated that ADSW is a key platform for collaboration among local and international entities. He said it helps in exchanging insights and advancing the energy sector towards a carbon-neutral future. This supports the UAE’s target of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Dr. Al Jarwan also mentioned that the DoE is dedicated to facilitating global dialogue against climate change. "At the DoE, we are committed to facilitating fruitful global dialogue with participating entities to support efforts against climate change," he noted. This includes introducing innovative solutions that promote collective climate action.

The DoE encourages all participants at ADSW to use this platform for developing practical solutions ensuring sustainable growth. They aim to strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a leading global destination in energy and sustainability sectors through these efforts.

Continued Leadership in Energy Regulation

The DoE has been a principal partner for ADSW in both 2023 and 2024. This highlights its crucial role in regulating Abu Dhabi’s energy sector according to international standards. Their commitment remains strong towards implementing the Abu Dhabi Energy and Water Efficiency Strategy 2030.

The department collaborates with public and private entities to develop effective policies and regulatory frameworks. These initiatives align with Abu Dhabi’s vision and UAE’s national strategies for a sustainable future while enhancing resource efficiency and resilience.
