Abu Dhabi Customs And Japan Customs Explore Trade Facilitation For Economic Growth

Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs, recently met with Yojiro Uchino, Deputy Director General of Japan's Customs and Tariff Bureau. Their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, exploring new opportunities, and sharing expertise in customs operations. They emphasised the role of digital technologies and smart solutions in facilitating trade and supporting future economic growth.

Uchino warmly welcomed the Abu Dhabi delegation, reaffirming Japan Customs' commitment to strengthening bilateral customs cooperation. He highlighted the importance of openness and forward-thinking strategies. Uchino also praised Abu Dhabi Customs for its digital innovations, noting that these efforts will enhance the partnership as they prepare to sign the Mutual Customs Assistance Agreement between Japan and the UAE.
