Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Approves AED 7.7 Billion Housing Benefits For Citizens In 2024
Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sanctioned the third housing benefits package for 2024. This initiative, valued at AED7.72 billion, supports 5,374 citizens in Abu Dhabi. It includes housing loans worth over AED3.569 billion for 2,373 citizens and residential land and grants totalling AED3.67 billion for 2,540 citizens.
The total value of housing benefits distributed in 2024 has reached AED13.216 billion, assisting 8,891 citizens across the emirate. This includes exemptions from housing loan payments for senior citizens, low-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens amounting to AED847.2 million, benefiting 805 individuals.

Since the inception of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, approximately AED162.1 billion has been allocated to more than 118,700 housing benefits. The latest package also exempts certain groups from loan repayments exceeding AED486 million, aiding 461 citizens directly.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa expressed gratitude to the leadership for their generous directives in disbursing this package. He stated that these efforts underscore a commitment to enhancing citizen welfare and fostering social cohesion within Abu Dhabi while supporting its overall development.
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi highlighted that distributing the third housing benefits package reflects the leadership's focus on Emirati wellbeing as a national priority. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority is committed to improving its programmes to ensure housing availability for all citizens in line with leadership directives.
This year's third housing benefits package coincides with UAE's Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 2nd. This timing underscores the leadership's ongoing dedication to ensuring Emirati family welfare during significant national events.
