Abu Dhabi Coffee Hub Showcases Culinary Innovation At Global Food Week 2024
The Abu Dhabi Coffee Hub is underway at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, from 26th to 28th November. This event caters to coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. Organised by DXB Live and the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) UAE, it forms a key part of the third Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE). The hub blends culinary culture with coffee exploration for all visitors.
Running concurrently with the Abu Dhabi Coffee Hub, Global Food Week highlights the UAE's dedication to culinary innovation. It also showcases the growing food and beverage market in the GCC. ADIFE serves as a leading platform for industry professionals, with the Coffee Hub underscoring the UAE's leadership in culinary advancements.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Advisor for International Events and Exhibitions at Capital Events, part of ADNEC Group, expressed enthusiasm about this unique experience. He stated, "Bringing this unique experience to Abu Dhabi enhances our offerings within Global Food Week. The Abu Dhabi Coffee promises to deliver interactive events that engage the community and meet the interests of a wide audience while continuing our work to support the UAE’s development as a destination for culinary and food and beverage innovation."
Khalid Al Mulla, CEO of the Coffee Museum and National Coordinator for the UAE branch of the American Coffee Association, shared his excitement about this new chapter in UAE's coffee culture. He remarked, "The Abu Dhabi Coffee Hub marks a new beginning for coffee culture in the UAE, bringing coffee enthusiasts together to explore the journey from bean to cup. With the return of the UAE National Coffee Championship, we are excited to see the country’s talented baristas compete at a high professional level."
Al Mulla further elaborated on how these championships provide a stage for baristas to demonstrate their skills. He added, "These championships serve as a platform for baristas and coffee professionals to showcase their expertise, highlighting excellence in preparation, knowledge, and customer service. Winners gain global recognition, becoming ambassadors for the UAE’s growing coffee culture. The hub marries both tradition and innovation, elevating our appreciation of coffee’s role in building connections between people of different cultures and supporting the local industry."
The event features various attractions like a unique Brew Bar where attendees can taste and learn about different brews. A Coffee Market offers products inspired by coffee. Exciting competitions such as Barista Throwdown and Latte Art Live are also part of this hub.
Workshops and Artistic Endeavours
Art enthusiasts can visit the Coffee Art Zone while workshops organised by SCA UAE help connoisseurs refine their skills. These activities cater to both seasoned professionals and newcomers eager to learn more about coffee.
