Abu Dhabi Chamber Drives Business Growth In Al Dhafra Through SME Outreach Initiatives
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) – Al Dhafra Branch recently visited several small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Al Dhafra region. This initiative is part of the Chamber's ongoing efforts to support regional business growth and inclusivity. The visits align with ADCCI's 2025–2028 roadmap, which aims to enhance market expansion, build ecosystems, and promote regional inclusivity to strengthen the emirate’s private sector.
During these visits, the Chamber's engagement team identified seven opportunities for development within Al Dhafra's business environment. The region showcases a diverse range of entrepreneurial talent across sectors such as hospitality, retail, and cultural heritage. The delegation visited five companies in retail, tourism, and manufacturing, including Western Hotel in Madinat Zayed, Al Dhafra Walk, La Belle Chocolates & Flowers, Al Ghahwa Al Arabiya, and Dumo Bakery.

The visits aimed to highlight success stories while understanding operational challenges faced by these businesses. By identifying collaboration opportunities, the Chamber seeks to promote sustainable business growth. "A thriving private sector across all regions is central to Abu Dhabi’s broader economic vision," stated Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.
Al Dhaheri further emphasized the Chamber's strategic role as a key partner in economic development. He noted that initiatives like this reaffirm their commitment to listening to business needs and delivering tailored support. "The Chamber’s strategic role as a key partner in economic development and a driver of competitiveness and sustainable growth means we stand shoulder to shoulder with the business community," he said.
SME owners engaged in open discussions with Chamber representatives during these visits. They shared insights on regional customer demand, operational barriers, and potential for digital scalability. These insights will guide ADCCI in designing more effective policies and services that empower businesses across Abu Dhabi's regions.
The Chamber plans to continue similar visits throughout Abu Dhabi. This ensures SMEs receive necessary institutional support to thrive and contribute to the emirate’s diversified economy. Such outreach initiatives reflect ADCCI's dedication to elevating private sector businesses across all regions of the emirate.
The Chamber’s efforts focus on providing key market insights and improving access to investment opportunities. By accelerating capacity building, they aim to contribute significantly to Abu Dhabi’s sustainable economic growth.
