Abu Dhabi Chamber Partners With Siemens To Enhance Electric Vehicle Integration And Sustainability Initiatives

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has entered into a partnership with Siemens, a renowned technology firm, to advance the adoption of electric vehicles and promote sustainability in Abu Dhabi's transport sector. This collaboration is part of ADCCI's strategy to enhance partnerships with global companies in key industries.

During the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2024), Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of ADCCI, and Helmut von Struve, CEO of Siemens Middle East, formalised the agreement. Al Qubaisi expressed that this partnership highlights the Chamber’s dedication to supporting digital transformation and sustainability in Abu Dhabi’s transport sector.

Al Qubaisi emphasised that strategic alliances with industry leaders like Siemens enable local businesses to access advanced innovations and technological solutions. "The collaboration underscores the Chamber’s commitment in supporting digital transformative and sustainability within Abu Dhabi’s transport sector," he stated. This aligns with the UAE’s Falcon Economy vision, aiming for a smart and diversified economy.

Helmut von Struve shared Siemens' enthusiasm for contributing to Abu Dhabi's transport sector through innovative technological solutions in energy and sustainability. "We look forward to supporting Abu Dhabi’s transport sector with innovative technological solutions in the fields of energy and sustainability," he said. The goal is to strengthen Abu Dhabi as a regional business hub equipped with advanced technologies.

The agreement includes plans for workshops and training sessions designed to equip entrepreneurs with skills in using Siemens technologies, particularly in electric vehicles and market analysis. These initiatives aim to foster entrepreneurship, encourage data exchange, and stimulate innovation within the local market.
