Abu Dhabi Chamber Showcases Pioneering Role In Future Of Industry At MIITE Event

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) recently participated in the "Make it in the Emirates" event, which concluded on Thursday. The chamber's pavilion highlighted its role in turning Abu Dhabi's industrial goals into real achievements, aligning with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology’s Operation 300 Billion. This initiative aims to enhance economic performance indicators.

During the event, ADCCI collaborated with four key national partners: Khalifa University of Science and Technology, the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD), and Abu Dhabi Polytechnic. These institutions represent the emirate’s industrial and knowledge strengths. Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of ADCCI, stated, "Make it in the Emirates is an ambitious platform that reinforces Abu Dhabi and the UAE's position as a global centre for industrial excellence, innovation, and opportunity."

Abu Dhabi Chamber's Role in Industry at MIITE

On the sidelines of MIITE, ADCCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khalifa University of Science and Technology. This agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation between academia and business sectors in Abu Dhabi. It aims to support knowledge transfer, promote innovation, and empower human capital by creating valuable opportunities through joint initiatives.

The MoU seeks to provide integrated educational and business environments for students and entrepreneurs. This collaboration is expected to foster a stronger partnership between academic institutions and businesses, ultimately benefiting both sectors.

The ADCCI pavilion attracted significant interaction from visitors throughout the event. It showcased leading services and solutions that support the UAE's industrial sector. The chamber played a crucial role by hosting the Chamber Dialogue series, a platform that brought together private sector leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

This dialogue series focused on discussing mechanisms for business expansion, industrial innovation, and enhancing startup success. Topics included preparing for Abu Dhabi Business Week, learning about the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, sustainability issues, social governance, corporate governance, and more.

Promoting Industrial Growth

The chamber also presented inspiring stories like those of Union Paper Mill and Union Copper Rod Mill to highlight successful industrial growth. These examples served as motivation for other businesses looking to expand their operations within Abu Dhabi's thriving industrial landscape.

Additionally, ADCCI provided space for its partners to build strategic partnerships while showcasing innovative technological solutions. This effort aimed to strengthen global partnerships and empower national companies in line with future economic goals.

The event underscored ADCCI's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to industrial excellence in Abu Dhabi. By facilitating discussions on various topics related to industry growth and innovation, the chamber continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the emirate’s economic future.
