Abu Dhabi Chamber Forms Strategic Alliance With Angola-UAE Chamber To Strengthen Economic Ties

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This partnership aims to enhance economic relations and create more investment opportunities for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and investors in both countries.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and Bráulio Mohammed Martins, President of the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The signing ceremony was attended by Julio Belarmino Gomes Maiato, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the UAE, and Masood Rahma Al Masaood, Treasurer of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, along with several representatives from both sides.

New Abu Dhabi-Angola Economic Alliance

Al Qubaisi stated, "Our partnership with the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry aligns with our goals to strengthen cooperation between the Abu Dhabi and Angolan business communities and to enhance trade between the two sides. The agreement also supports our efforts to provide more investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesspeople at both local and international levels."

He further added that this partnership is part of their strategy to actively contribute to enhancing the investment ecosystem in Abu Dhabi. It aims to increase its competitiveness to attract foreign direct investments.

Bráulio Mohammed Martins highlighted that this cooperation validates both nations as a prime example of UAE-Africa relations. He noted that business communities in both Angola and the UAE now have a robust mechanism to promote, facilitate, and execute economic and commercial cooperation.

Martins added that the agreement fosters a favourable business environment. It promotes creative joint venture initiatives designed to intensify the commitment to sustainability in both nations as well as improve quality of life.

Supporting Business Connectivity

Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate to support Abu Dhabi Business Connect, ADCCI’s business connectivity platform. They will regularly provide information and investment opportunities on this platform. Additionally, they will promote it among their respective members to facilitate knowledge exchange and enhance trade and investment opportunities between Abu Dhabi and Angola.

Joint Studies and Economic Data Exchange

The cooperation agreement aims to support efforts from both sides to conduct joint studies and exchange economic data on investment opportunities. It also seeks to facilitate participation in international events, exhibitions, and commercial activities held in either Abu Dhabi or Angola.

Promoting Economic Activities

According to the agreement, activities of the two parties and their affiliated establishments will be promoted among members of both chambers. This includes supporting and increasing investment opportunities across various economic sectors. Additionally, it involves exchanging trade delegations, participating in official missions, and organising joint events that benefit business sectors in both countries.
