Abdullah Bin Salem Opens 54th Watch And Jewellery Middle East Show Featuring Over 900 Exhibitors
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, recently opened the 54th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show. Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with backing from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this event runs until September 29. It is the largest jewellery trade exhibition in the UAE and the region, featuring over 900 exhibitors from leading global companies in watches, gold, precious stones, and rare jewellery.
The exhibition spans 30,000 square metres and showcases a diverse range of jewellery and watch designs. Attendees can explore creations from top international designers and rare pieces from prominent companies. The displays include diamonds, 21-karat gold, platinum, silver, coloured gemstones, pearls, and precious metals. Additionally, there are watches and jewellery packaging equipment on display.
India leads with 70 exhibitors at the show, followed by Hong Kong and Italy with 50 each. Other participating countries include the UAE, UK, US, Russia, Singapore, China, Japan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, among others. This diverse participation highlights the global appeal of the event.
During his visit to the show halls, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem viewed various exhibits and designs presented by participants. He received detailed explanations from pavilion managers about their displays and innovative techniques in craftsmanship. They also discussed recent trends in the gold and jewellery industry at both regional and global levels.
The Emirati Goldsmiths Platform is a notable feature of the event. It showcases creations by elite Emirati designers who draw inspiration from their heritage while incorporating modern visions. Their distinctive designs reflect the latest innovations in jewellery.
The show offers numerous events such as special shows, competitions, activities and workshops focused on gold and jewellery design. These provide insights into innovative global practices in design while allowing attendees to meet renowned international designers and experts in precious metals.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem was joined by several dignitaries during his tour of the exhibition. Among them were Abdullah Sultan Al Owais from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Khalid Jasem Al Midfa from Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Issa Hilal Al Hazami from Sharjah Sports Council; Saif Mohammed Al Midfa from Expo Centre Sharjah; Mohammed Ahmed Al Awadhi from Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; along with other board members government officials diplomats representing participating countries.
This prestigious event not only highlights exquisite jewellery but also fosters international collaboration within this vibrant industry.
