Abdulla Al Hamed Highlights Media's Essential Role In Shaping Government Excellence At Ajman Forum
H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, attended a session at the 2025 Government Practices Forum. The session was led by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office and UAE Media Council. Al Hamed expressed gratitude to Sheikh Ammar for supporting the programme, which aligns with leadership's vision to enhance government excellence.
Al Hamed highlighted the media's role in shaping government excellence by communicating achievements and demonstrating the human impact of policies. This approach strengthens public trust in institutions. He noted that the UAE has developed a modern media sector that balances credibility and innovation while focusing on people as its core mission.
The UAE's media does not just portray the government as a decision-making body but emphasises its commitment to placing people at the centre of initiatives. This engagement with society is crucial for development and building trust. Al Hamed stressed that in today's fast-paced world, government success is gauged by its ability to enrich lives through ideas, experiences, and impacts.
He explained that inspiring governance transforms public service into a human experience, turning performance into a message and communication into an honest dialogue with society. The UAE exemplifies "the government that inspires" through effective performance, communication, and a balanced national narrative.
Al Hamed emphasised that innovation is central to the UAE’s institutional identity, serving as a benchmark for leadership and quality of life. Innovative governance converts challenges into practical solutions, enhancing citizens' and residents' experiences continuously. He reiterated that media is more than just a reflection of government actions; it is essential for fostering public confidence and optimism.
Effective institutional media anticipates developments and highlights best practices to inform future strategies. It turns successful initiatives into models to follow. Al Hamed stressed that national media embodies institutional harmony by showcasing collaboration between entities, proving success is a collective achievement.
Public Participation and Innovation
Beyond sharing information, media inspires public participation in shaping the future, promoting innovation, continuous learning, and awareness. Al Hamed concluded by stating true government success is measured not only by numbers but by its positive impact on people's lives.
He added that genuine leadership reflects in citizens’ satisfaction — evident in every new project in the UAE — affirming innovation in governance aims to create meaningful outcomes that can be seen, felt, and lived.
