56th Watch And Jewellery Middle East Show Launches In Sharjah With Global Participation

The 56th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show commenced at Expo Centre Sharjah, marking the region's largest gold and jewellery exhibition. Organised by Expo Sharjah with backing from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), this five-day event features over 500 exhibitors and 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and professionals from top global jewellery brands.

Spanning 30,000 square metres, the exhibition showcases exclusive collections of luxury watches, gold, diamonds, and precious stones. A standout feature is Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery’s Dubai Dress. This dress has earned a Guinness World Records certificate as the heaviest pure 21-carat gold dress globally, weighing over 10 kilograms and valued at AED4.6 million.

This year's show sees strong international participation with exhibitors from more than 20 countries. Notably, first-time participants include Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan. Established brands from Italy, India, Türkiye, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia also join the event.

The Emirati Goldsmiths Platform highlights national talent through designs inspired by heritage that merge craftsmanship with cultural authenticity. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah emphasised that the event enhances the UAE's global position in gold and jewellery trade while empowering Emirati designers to innovate on an international scale.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa of Expo Centre Sharjah highlighted that the show offers a premier platform for global brands to expand their presence. It allows them to launch new collections and explore investment opportunities within the region.

The exhibition runs until 28th September. It opens from 13:00 to 22:00 on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday; from 15:00 to 22:00 on Friday. Visitors can participate in prize draws featuring an Audi A3 and luxury jewellery sets.
