55th Watch And Jewellery Middle East Show Concludes With Over 87,000 Visitors And Unique Exhibits
The 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show concluded at Expo Centre Sharjah, marking a significant increase in participation and attendance. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, attracted over 87,000 visitors, a 9% rise from the previous edition. This turnout reinforced the exhibition's status as a leading gold and jewellery trade event in the UAE and the region.
More than 500 exhibitors from around the world showcased their offerings at the event. These included prominent brands in gold, diamonds, and luxury watches, alongside 1,800 designers and professionals. The show spanned 30,000 square metres and welcomed new participants from Russia, Mexico, Tanzania, and Egypt. Key markets represented included the UAE, India, Italy, the UK, the US, Singapore, China, Japan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Lebanon.

The exhibition featured exclusive pieces recognised by Guinness World Records. A standout was the world's longest diamond necklace at 108 metres with over 600 lab-grown diamonds set in 18-karat rose gold. Another highlight was the Union Frame—the largest gold frame globally. Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery unveiled 'Gold-Zilla,' a fully gold-plated car valued at nearly AED3.67 million.
The Italian pavilion saw a notable increase in participation by 15%, showcasing around 50 brands. It displayed rare handcrafted diamond pieces and jewellery custom-designed for this event in limited editions. These unique offerings attracted luxury jewellery collectors keen on acquiring exclusive items.
This edition also highlighted contributions from young Emirati female designers who presented innovative collections inspired by local culture. Their designs incorporated traditional crafts like Al-Talli with modern elements using natural pearls and gemstones. Noteworthy pieces included Zayed’s Lantern and the Palm Necklace.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, emphasised that this show has solidified its global reputation as a premier platform for top designers and international brands to converge. He noted that over 500 exhibitors participated alongside more than 1,800 designers while attracting over 87,000 visitors—demonstrating confidence in its role supporting the sector.
Sales Success
The event recorded strong sales with exclusive collections offered at competitive prices and special discounts. This confirmed its continued importance as a key luxury marketplace for premium jewellery and watches.
Today marks an exciting moment as winners of major visitor prizes will be announced—including a Tesla Model 3 along with luxury gold and diamond sets—adding further allure to this prestigious event.
