IROS 2024 Conference Launches Tomorrow In Abu Dhabi To Explore Robotics For Sustainable Development
The 36th IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2024) is set to begin in Abu Dhabi. This marks the first global conference of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The event, hosted by Khalifa University of Science and Technology, will spotlight advancements in robotics and intelligent transport systems.
Running from 14-18 October 2024 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), IROS 2024 has attracted thousands of researchers, academics, industry leaders, and professionals worldwide. Supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau, among others, this conference is one of the largest gatherings for robotics research globally.

The theme for IROS 2024 is ‘Robotics for Sustainable Development’. It aims to provide a platform for the international robotics community to share knowledge and ideas on intelligent robots and smart machines. The event will feature four plenary sessions and over 20 keynote speakers discussing various aspects of robotics.
A significant part of the conference will be dedicated to showcasing the latest in robotics technologies and products. Attendees can expect poster sessions, keynotes, panel discussions, and networking events as part of this major international gathering.
