31st Sharjah Award For Educational Excellence Launched To Celebrate Educators And Institutions

The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has unveiled the 31st edition of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence. This award, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, aims to advance Sharjah's vision of a comprehensive educational system. It honours individuals and institutions that enhance education quality and develop skills among students, teachers, and leaders.

This year's award includes two main categories: "Outstanding Individuals" and "Outstanding Institutions." The first category covers subcategories such as outstanding educational leader, teacher, inclusive education teacher, and student from Year 3 to Year 12. It also recognises outstanding parents and support staff.

Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence Launched

The "Outstanding Institutions" category acknowledges exceptional nurseries, schools, and partnerships that bolster education. A new addition this year is the "Jewel of the Arabic Language Award," reflecting the award's dedication to recognising all educational system components and promoting excellence at every level.

Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashemi, Chairperson of SPEA, emphasised that the award acts as a platform fostering innovation in education. She highlighted ongoing efforts to refine criteria and expand its scope to align with Sharjah's vision for a sustainable education system.

Ali Al Hosani, Director-General of SPEA, stated that the award supports creating an inspiring educational environment by investing in talent and recognising high-quality achievements. This approach promotes excellence standards both individually and institutionally across the educational landscape.

Alya Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, reiterated their commitment to supporting outstanding individuals in education. She noted efforts to overcome participant challenges and adopt advanced methods that foster excellence within both education and the broader community.

Nominations Now Open

The authority has announced that nominations are open for those aspiring to achieve excellence and showcase their innovative contributions. Interested applicants can register through the official website (award.shj.ae).

This initiative continues its journey over three decades by honouring achievements that elevate education quality while enhancing skills across various levels of the educational sector.
