The performance celebrated the 54th Eid Al Etihad and was presented as an innovative Emirati creation by Burjeel Holdings.
This symphony, composed by Rahman, was performed globally for the first time. It embodies values like unity, coexistence, hope, and shared humanity, which are integral to the UAE's identity. Inspired by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's vision, the symphony reflects on national achievements and progress. It highlights innovation and timeless values that define the UAE's character. The performance included images showcasing these themes.
A. R. Rahman described Jamal Al Ittihad as a comprehensive international work developed entirely in the UAE. He noted that the country's ambitious vision and spirit of coexistence are among its defining qualities. "The UAE embraces all people who contribute to building the nation," he said.
Rahman emphasised that cultures and philosophies blend harmoniously in the UAE, rooted in love, pride, and progress. He affirmed that the song celebrates this rich human diversity present in the country.
Personal Reflections on Opportunity
Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, expressed that no single song can fully honour the UAE's greatness. He shared his personal journey from arriving as a doctor to achieving success due to opportunities provided by the UAE.
Dr. Vayalil added that his story mirrors many others who came with hope and saw their lives flourish in this welcoming nation. His experience underscores how individuals have thrived thanks to the opportunities available in the UAE.
