11th World Green Economy Summit To Focus On Innovations For A Sustainable Future In October 2025

The 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) is set to take place on 1-2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to accelerate the future of the green economy with the theme 'Innovating for Impact'.

WGES will gather a diverse group of local and international leaders, officials, and experts. The focus will be on creating proactive solutions for a swift transition to a global green economy. The summit aims to make significant progress towards achieving net zero emissions.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, highlighted the summit's role since 2014 in addressing climate action and sustainability. He stated, "Since its inception in 2014, the World Green Economy Summit has provided a leading platform to discuss key issues related to climate action, sustainability and green finance."

The summit will explore various themes such as technology and innovation, clean energy technologies, policies, finance, climate equity, adaptation, resilience, and youth involvement in climate action. These discussions aim to foster global cooperation in developing policies for shared climate goals.

Al Tayer also noted that WGES has been crucial in mobilising climate efforts and fostering dialogue. He added that it continues to promote joint action balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability. This reinforces Dubai's leadership in global climate initiatives.
