Mike Conley Jr. expressed that his return had completed the Minnesota Timberwolves after they defeated the Denver Nuggets to force a Game 7 in the Western Conference semifinal series. The Nuggets had an opportunity to eliminate the Timberwolves at Target Center on Thursday, having led the series 3-2. However, the hosts responded with a dominant 115-70 victory.

Anthony Edwards spearheaded the Timberwolves with 27 points, while Jaden McDaniels contributed 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting. This win marked the second-largest NBA Playoff victory by a team facing elimination in history. Edwards attributed the team's improvement to the return of guard Conley, who missed Game 5 due to soreness in his right Achilles tendon.

Edwards stated, "We got Mike Conley back. That was it." Conley added, "Obviously I wanted to play the last game. I just couldn't move at all. Tonight it was a no-brainer."
