Skyliners Triumph Over Miami To Win FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi 2025 Title
The German team Skyliners triumphed at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi 2025, edging out Miami from the United States with a score of 19-17 in the final match. This event was organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council alongside the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and took place on October 25th and 26th. Fourteen teams competed at a specially constructed venue near Marina Mall's south entrance.
In front of sports leaders and enthusiastic fans, including Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Saeed Al Mehairi, Executive Director – Sports Development, the Skyliners were awarded US $40,000 for their victory. Dr. Al Qubaisi praised the Skyliners for their outstanding performance and acknowledged the strong competition from both finalists.

Hsin-Wei Wang from Taipei WanBao claimed victory in the Shoot-Out contest, sponsored by Al Ain Water. Meanwhile, Piotr "Grabo" Grabowski emerged as the winner of the Dunk Contest, which was supported by Al Masaood Automobiles. Leon Fertig received the Tournament MVP award for his crucial role in leading his team to success. Sheikh Hamad bin Sultan Al Nahyan presented this accolade.
The top ten teams concluded as follows: Skyliners (Germany), Miami (United States), UB (Serbia), Amsterdam RaboBank (Netherlands), Toulouse (France), Lugano Handong (Switzerland), Baskets Bonn Telekom (Germany), Kanazawa (Japan), Carolina (Puerto Rico), and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). The World Tour's next stop is scheduled in Bucharest on November 8th-9th, with the season finale set for Manama on November 21st-22nd, 2025.
Dr. Al Qubaisi expressed his congratulations to the Skyliners for their impressive win and commended both finalists for their strong performances amid enthusiastic crowd support. The tournament showcased intense competition and skillful play from all participating teams.
