Sam Hauser Commits To Celtics With $45 Million Four-Year Extension
Sam Hauser has secured a four-year, $45 million contract extension with the Boston Celtics, his agent confirmed to ESPN on Sunday. Hauser joined the Celtics in 2021 as an undrafted rookie and has since become one of the NBA's top 3-point shooters.
Last season, Hauser shot 42.4% from beyond the arc, ranking fourth among players with over 400 attempts. He also made 179 catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, placing him sixth in the league for that category. In the 2023-24 season, he became just the third player in Celtics history to hit 10 three-pointers in a single game.

His current rookie contract was set to expire in 2025, but this new deal ensures he will remain with the team until the end of the 2028-29 season. The extension reflects his value to the team and his significant contributions on the court.
This offseason has seen other notable extensions for the Celtics. All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum signed a five-year deal worth $315 million, while guard Derrick White committed to a four-year contract valued at $125 million. These moves indicate the team's commitment to retaining key players for future success.
The Boston Celtics shared their excitement about these developments on social media, posting "WE THE CHAMPS BABY" along with a celebratory video.
