Nuggets, Pacers Secure Wins To Even Their Series In NBA Playoffs

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, the Denver Nuggets managed to even the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a critical 115-107 victory in Sunday's Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal series. Nikola Jokić, the Nuggets' star player, was instrumental in this win, scoring 16 of his 35 points in the crucial fourth quarter. Aaron Gordon also played a pivotal role, amassing 27 points on an impressive 11-of-12 shooting. This performance was crucial for the reigning NBA champions as they bounced back from earlier setbacks to tie the series at 2-2.

Jamal Murray contributed significantly to Denver's success, adding 19 points, with 12 coming in a game-changing third quarter. This victory marked Denver's second consecutive win in Minnesota, following losses in Games 1 and 2 on the road. The series is now poised for a pivotal Game 5 back in Denver.

Nuggets, Pacers Even Playoff Series

Despite Denver's triumph, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a playoff career-high 44 points. This marked his third 40-point effort this postseason. However, Karl-Anthony Towns, Edwards' All-Star teammate, struggled throughout the game, managing only 13 points on 5-of-18 shooting alongside 12 rebounds.

The Nuggets took control early on and never trailed after securing a 23-22 lead late in the first quarter. They extended their lead by scoring the final eight points of the first half, entering halftime with a comfortable 64-49 advantage. The Timberwolves attempted a comeback, narrowing their deficit to seven points late in the game, but Jokić's late score ensured Denver's victory.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers evened their series against the New York Knicks with a dominant 121-89 victory in Game 4. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 20 points, but it was Indiana's defense that truly made the difference, holding the Knicks to their lowest playoff three-point accuracy rate since 2000.

The Knicks struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting only 33.7 percent overall. Jalen Brunson, who had been averaging a league-leading 34.6 points per game this postseason, was limited to just 18 points on 6-of-17 shooting. T.J. McConnell added a double-double for Indiana with 15 points and 10 assists.

Indiana set the tone early, opening the game on a 19-6 run and shooting an impressive 60.9 percent in the first quarter. The Pacers continued to build their lead, going into halftime with a commanding 69-41 advantage. Their lead expanded further in the second half, at one point reaching as much as 43 points.
