Discover How The New Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Redefines Luxury 4x4 Driving

The fifth-generation Land Cruiser Prado has been launched in the United Arab Emirates by Al-Futtaim Toyota, continuing the Land Cruiser's 70-year legacy as a durable and dependable 4x4. The new Prado is built on the same body-on-frame Toyota New Global Architecture GA-F platform as the Land Cruiser 300 Series, providing a 50% increase in frame rigidity and a 30% increase in overall rigidity. This results in improved handling and a smoother ride across various terrains. The vehicle is powered by a 2.4-liter turbo gasoline engine that generates 267 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, offering an optimal balance between power and fuel efficiency.

The Prado's advanced all-terrain support systems are activated when driving off-road. A two Differential Lock System (central and rear) enhances off-road performance by evenly distributing power to all wheels when navigating rough terrain. Additionally, the Prado features six driving modes, including a new AUTO mode that intelligently adapts to different terrains such as sand, rock, dirt, and mud. Drivers can also utilize the Crawl Control function for extra control on challenging inclines or declines.

Comfortable and User-Friendly Interior Design

The new generation of the Land Cruiser Prado continues its reputation for user-friendly interior design. The cabin prioritizes comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers, with features such as wireless charging, a 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and a color head-up display ensuring a connected and informative driving experience. Tri-zone automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents keeps everyone comfortable on long journeys, while multi-adjustable power and ventilated front and second-row seats provide exceptional comfort.

Comprehensive Suite of Advanced Safety Technologies

Safety is paramount for Al-Futtaim Toyota, so the all-new Land Cruiser Prado comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense—a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies. This system includes features like Pre-Collision System (PCS) with extended capabilities for intersection collision avoidance support, Acceleration Suppression to prevent unintended acceleration at low speeds, Emergency Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Full-Speed Range, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Adaptive High Beam System (AHS), among others.

In addition to Toyota Safety Sense, the new Prado offers an array of other safety features to protect occupants in various driving conditions. These include eight SRS airbags covering all three rows of seats; Vehicle Stability Control (VSC); Traction Control (TRC); Anti-lock Brake System (ABS); Brake Assist (BA); Parking Support Brake (PKSB); Blind Spot Monitor (BSM); Multi-terrain Monitor (MTM) including Panoramic View Monitor (PVM); Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA); Safe Exit Assist (SEA); Downhill Assist Control (DAC); Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS); Drive Start Control (DSC); driver and front passenger seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters; and a clearance sonar featuring eight sensors located in the front and rear bumpers.

The all-new Land Cruiser Prado is available in eight distinctive exterior colours, including a new Sand colour with a light grey roof option. The interior is offered in Dark Chestnut, Black or Chateau colours, with two designs of 18-inch alloy wheels available—one optimized for off-road performance while the other prioritizes style and practicality. Prices for the new Land Cruiser Prado start from AED 199,900.
