Saudi Arabia Launches Initiative To Recruit More Citizens In Aviation Sector

The number of Saudi flight attendants and fixed-wing pilots is set to increase significantly! Wondering how? The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, has announced the commencement of the second phase of Saudization targeting licensed aviation professions in the private sector. This move is aimed at establishments employing five or more individuals in specified aviation roles.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to create stable and rewarding job opportunities for Saudi citizens, both male and female, thereby elevating their participation in the workforce. The ministries have pinpointed the Flight Attendant and Fixed-Wing Pilot roles for this phase, with a Saudization target of 60% and 70% respectively. To qualify for these roles, professionals need to secure a professional accreditation certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
