Qatar's e-Mobility Forum Set for April

Eng. Hamad Essa Abdulla, MOT’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Land Transport Affairs, highlighted the critical juncture the world faces in meeting the demand for sustainable transportation solutions. He emphasized the role of autonomous electric vehicles (e-vehicles) as a transformative trend in transportation that aligns with global sustainability efforts. These vehicles not only promise to reduce emissions and enhance energy efficiency but also offer innovative mobility solutions crucial for combating climate change.

Qatar's commitment to sustainable transportation is evident in its strategy to transition its public bus fleet to electric. Eng. Abdulla noted that over 70% of the fleet has already been converted to electric power, with plans to reach 100% by 2030. This initiative is part of Qatar's broader efforts to implement environmentally friendly transportation solutions and reduce its carbon footprint.

The Autonomous e-Mobility Forum represents an unparalleled opportunity for stakeholders from around the globe to engage in meaningful dialogue about the potential impacts of autonomous technology and e-mobility ecosystems on society. Through technology, research, and policy discussions, participants will explore how these advancements can shape the future of transportation worldwide.
