Parkin Company Expands Dubai Operations with 7,500 Additional Parking Spaces In 6 New Areas

Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai's leading public parking service provider, has announced a significant expansion in its operations through a partnership with a private developer. This collaboration marks a substantial addition of approximately 7,500 parking spaces across six new communities within Dubai, reinforcing Parkin's position as the predominant player in the developer-owned parking sector.

The agreement brings the total number of developer-owned parking spaces under Parkin's management to about 17,500. The expansion is a strategic move, aligning with the company's growth objectives and is set to be fully operational by the end of July 2024, pending minor civil work installations.

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This new private developer agreement validates our growth strategy and our team's effort to enhance our service portfolio. Despite the developer-owned parking segment currently representing a smaller fraction of our total revenue, it presents a substantial opportunity for growth. We are excited to bring our operational expertise to these new communities, thereby improving urban mobility and the quality of life in Dubai."

The new agreement stipulates that Parkin will manage and operate 7,456 newly developed parking spaces across six key communities in Dubai for a period of four years. The operation includes the installation of necessary equipment like parking meters, signage, and road markings to ensure efficient management and enforcement of the parking spaces.

Parkin’s services in these new locations will be available from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, with the company having the exclusive authority to issue fines for parking violations according to the applicable laws and regulations. The parking tariffs have been structured to accommodate the needs of the residents and visitors of these communities, with varying rates across different zones.

The introduction of these new parking spaces is part of Parkin's initiative to maintain its service capacity following a reduction in spaces due to a revised agreement with a developer in the Al Sufouh area. The strategic addition of new parking facilities is expected to counterbalance the recent decrease and maintain the company's parking capacity at levels comparable to the end of 2023.
