Lucid Air Grand Touring Joins Dubai Police's Elite Patrol Fleet

The Dubai Police have recently enhanced their tourist patrol fleet with the addition of the Lucid Air Grand Touring. This electric vehicle is not only a testament to cutting-edge technology but also aligns with the UAE's green economy aspirations.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring is a marvel of electric vehicle engineering, boasting 819 horsepower and the distinction of being the first production vehicle to achieve a WLTP estimated range of up to 839 km on a single charge. The 2024 model brings even more advancements, incorporating technology from the Lucid Air Sapphire that enhances driving range under various conditions and expedites charging times.

Dubai Police Welcomes Lucid Air Grand Touring

Lucid Group, based in Silicon Valley, is at the forefront of developing some of the world's most advanced electric vehicles (EVs). Their flagship, the Lucid Air, sets the standard in performance and efficiency with a starting price of $69,900*. The company is also preparing its Arizona factory to start producing the Lucid Gravity SUV, aiming to expedite the shift towards sustainable transportation and energy.

The handover of this state-of-the-art vehicle was conducted at the Dubai Police Officers Club, where Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received the keys from Faisal Sultan, Vice President and Managing Director Middle East at Lucid.

This significant event saw the attendance of prominent figures such as Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri and Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, among others. It underscores the Dubai Police's commitment to embracing modern technologies and systems that not only enhance operational efficiency but also promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri highlighted the dual benefits of the Lucid Air Grand Touring's inclusion in the fleet. It not only bolsters the visibility of police in tourist locales and during community gatherings but also reinforces the bond between Dubai Police and the community. He elaborated on how this initiative is in sync with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, focusing on sustainable development and the reduction of carbon emissions.

"The initiative also includes measures to reduce carbon emissions and prioritise clean energy in daily operations," Lt. Gen. Al Marri pointed out, emphasizing the overarching goal of transitioning towards cleaner energy sources.

Faisal Sultan from Lucid shared his enthusiasm about collaborating with Dubai Police, expressing pride in contributing to the electrification of their fleet. He mentioned Lucid's recent expansion in Dubai, marked by the opening of their first retail studio at City Walk, and expressed eagerness to further strengthen their presence in the region.
