Rare Lamborghini Centenario Hits The Auction Block In Dubai With Only 112 Kilometers
When a car bears the name of the founder of Lamborghini, expectations soar. The Lamborghini Centenario, priced at an anticipated $2.5 million, stands as a testament to the legacy of Ferruccio Lamborghini, marking what would have been his 100th birthday. This particular model, a blend of performance and exclusivity, is set to captivate attendees at an upcoming auction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This Centenario is not just any model; it's one of the mere 20 coupes produced, distinguished by its matte black finish with striking red highlights across its carbon fiber body. Originating from the Aventador, this special edition supercar boasts significant enhancements that set it apart. Among them is an aggressive aerodynamic package, inclusive of a twin-plane front splitter and a racecar-inspired rear diffuser. Notably, it stands as the first Lamborghini equipped with four-wheel steering, enhancing its agility at lower speeds and stability at higher speeds.

The engine powering this masterpiece is a 6.5-liter V12, tuned to deliver an impressive 759 hp (566 kW/770 PS). Paired with a seven-speed single-clutch ISR gearbox with paddle shifters, the Centenario promises breathtaking acceleration, clocking 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in under three seconds and capable of exceeding 217 mph (350 km/h).
Set to be auctioned by RM Sotheby's in Dubai, this Centenario has had a single owner since departing Italy in 2017. Remarkably, its odometer shows just 69 miles (112 km), suggesting those miles were accumulated during pre-delivery testing. This is an interesting note as some Centenarios previously sold recorded even fewer miles. Perhaps the test driver found this particular model irresistibly fun on the test track.
The auction, taking place on March 8 and 9, projects a sale price ranging between $2 million and $2.5 million for this exceptional vehicle. This sale not only highlights the Centenario’s remarkable engineering and design but also celebrates the enduring legacy of Ferruccio Lamborghini. As the auction date approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be a highlight event in Dubai's automotive calendar.
