INEOS Launches New Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab For Commercial And Specialist Applications

INEOS Automotive has recently unveiled a new addition to its robust vehicle lineup, the Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab. This innovative model is specifically designed to cater to the needs of specialist vehicle converters and commercial body builders across the globe. With its launch, INEOS Automotive aims to extend its off-road expertise to various commercial sectors requiring a top-tier 4X4 vehicle.

The Chassis Cab variant, developed alongside the Quartermaster pick-up, promises an exceptional blend of off-road capability and load-carrying versatility. It also ensures driver comfort, safety, refinement, and modern features. George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director at INEOS Automotive, highlighted the vehicle's significance by noting the adaptations already seen in emergency services such as fire, police, and inshore rescue within a year of the Grenadier's launch.

INEOS Debuts Quartermaster Chassis Cab

The Quartermaster Chassis Cab shares the same 3227 mm wheelbase as the Quartermaster pick-up, which is 305 mm longer than the Grenadier Station Wagon. This design includes an exposed ladder frame behind the passenger cabin, offering a broad spectrum of body-building possibilities. This versatility is further supported by a 3,500 kg towing capacity. Manufactured in Hambach, France, at a facility acquired from Mercedes-Benz in January 2021, the Chassis Cab is built alongside other Grenadier models.

Featuring a five-seat double cab and a full box-section ladder frame chassis, this model is equipped with heavy-duty solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials. Power is supplied by a BMW 3.0-litre turbo-charged gasoline engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

Ratcliffe further elaborated on the vehicle's customisation potential, describing it as a "blank canvas" for various applications. From agricultural use to recovery and emergency services, and even tourism, the Chassis Cab variant serves as an ideal platform for an overlanding camper among other configurations. This flexibility underscores INEOS Automotive's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of both commercial and leisure users alike.

The introduction of the Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab marks a significant milestone for INEOS Automotive. By combining rugged off-road performance with extensive customisation options, this model stands out as a versatile solution for professionals worldwide seeking a reliable and adaptable 4X4 vehicle.
