Hyundai Joins Forces With RSG To Promote Sustainable Mobility In Saudi Resorts
In a significant move towards sustainable and luxury mobility, Hyundai Motor Group has joined forces with Red Sea Global (RSG) to introduce eco-friendly mobility solutions across RSG's opulent resorts in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 24 at RSG Headquarters in Riyadh, aims to explore and implement future mobility solutions. The ceremony saw the presence of Dongkun Lee, Head of Future Growth Strategy Sub-Division under Global Strategy Office at Hyundai Motor Group, and John Pagano, Group CEO of RSG.
Dongkun Lee expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting it as a step towards a sustainable and innovative mobility future. "We will accelerate the validations and explore more long-term goals to build a greener and smarter ecosystem in the region," Lee stated. John Pagano echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the synergy between Hyundai's sustainable mobility solutions and RSG's commitment to carbon-neutral operations and exceptional guest experiences.

The collaboration between Hyundai and RSG is set to cover a broad spectrum of initiatives. Initially, the focus will be on integrating Hyundai's eco-friendly mobility solutions, including battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, into RSG's luxury destinations. As the partnership progresses, both entities will delve into futuristic mobility options such as autonomous vehicles, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and maritime vessels.
This partnership is aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 strategy, aiming for a net-zero emission society by 2060. Hyundai's extensive portfolio in eco-friendly business practices is expected to significantly contribute to this vision, promoting a transition towards a green economy within the kingdom.
Red Sea Global has already begun welcoming guests since last year, with the Red Sea International Airport operating domestic flights since September 2023. Plans for international flights are underway. Currently, two hotels are operational within the destination, with three more slated to open this year. Additionally, Thuwal Private Retreat is expected to open its doors this year, while AMAALA is set to welcome its first guests in 2025 as part of the Triple Bay phase one development.
This strategic alliance between Hyundai Motor Group and Red Sea Global underscores a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation in mobility solutions. By leveraging Hyundai's expertise in eco-friendly technology and RSG's luxury hospitality experience, this partnership is poised to set new standards in sustainable travel and luxury experiences in Saudi Arabia.
