Exclusive 10-Year Formula 1 Broadcast Agreement Covers MENA And Turkey
In a significant development for Formula 1 enthusiasts across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), as well as Turkey, a new 10-year exclusive broadcasting agreement has been secured with beIN Sports. This landmark deal, extending until 2033, ensures that fans in 25 territories across MENA and Turkey will have access to comprehensive coverage of every F1 race weekend, including all practice sessions, F1 Sprint events, and Grands Prix. The broadcast rights encompass beIN Sports channels and the live-streaming app TOD.
The Middle East has become synonymous with Formula 1, hosting the season-opening race and the highly anticipated Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. This year, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marks the conclusion of the longest season in F1 history, scheduled from December 5 to 8, 2024.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, acknowledged the growth of a passionate fanbase in the Middle East since the first race in Bahrain in 2004. He praised beIN for its commitment to elevate the broadcast experience and create programming that highlights the drama and spectacle of F1.
Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at Formula 1, also highlighted the increasing demand for F1 in the region. He commended beIN's status as a leading sports broadcaster and expressed enthusiasm for utilizing their production capabilities in Doha to enhance F1's broadcast offerings and engage fans with tailor-made content.
The partnership comes at a time when interest in F1 in the region is soaring, evidenced by the record attendance of over 170,000 fans at the 2023 Abu Dhabi GP weekend. This year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is particularly noteworthy as it signifies the end of Lewis Hamilton's era-defining partnership with Mercedes.
Fans in MENA and Turkey can look forward to an unparalleled viewing experience as the 2024 F1 season kicks off, ensuring they don't miss a moment of the action and excitement that Formula 1 has to offer.
