It's built for Ferrari enthusiasts who crave an unmatched driving sensation, setting a new standard for the brand's production range in terms of sheer driving pleasure.

Ferrari 296 Speciale Arrives in Dubai

Giorgio Turri, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East, expressed immense pride at the launch, stating, "The launch of the Ferrari 296 Speciale marks a special occasion for the brand in the Middle East. True to its name, this model is nothing short of extraordinary, blending cutting-edge innovation with Ferrari's unmistakable DNA. With its supreme agility and dynamic finesse, heightened responsiveness and unmatched driving engagement, the 296 Speciale sets a new benchmark for performance and driving emotion behind the wheel. We can't wait to see this remarkable model on the roads of the region."

The vehicle's enhanced driving dynamics are a result of an advanced plug-in hybrid system that combines a V6 twin turbo engine with an electric motor. This system pushes the 296 Speciale to produce 880 hp, surpassing the 296 GTB by 50 hp. The powertrain benefits from motorsport-inspired updates, including titanium connecting rods and a lightened crankshaft, which boost the V6 engine's output to 700 cv.

Innovation extends to the 296 Speciale's aerodynamics and weight reduction strategies. The car generates 435 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, a 20% increase over the 296 GTB, thanks to technology trialed on the 296 Challenge. Weight-saving measures, such as the use of carbon fibre and titanium, shave off 50 kg compared to the 296 GTB, achieving a remarkable weight/power ratio of just 1.69 kg/cv.

The electric motor's capacity is also enhanced, now offering 180 cv in an extra boost mode. This upgrade facilitates a new strategy for the eight-speed DCT transmission, allowing for quicker shift times and a more engaging driving experience. Moreover, the unique timbre of the V6 engine, enriched in quality and volume, underscores the 296 Speciale's distinct character.

Ferrari's dedication to refining the 296 Speciale's driving dynamics is evident in its revised electronic control systems, suspension setup, and tire configurations. The car features the latest ABS Evo system for improved braking precision and is equipped with a suspension that reduces roll angle by 13%, enhancing its limit behaviour.

The 296 Speciale not only maintains Ferrari's tradition of excellence but also pushes the boundaries of performance and innovation. Its debut in Dubai marks a significant moment for Ferrari in the Middle East, promising an extraordinary driving experience for the region's enthusiasts.
