Budget Saudi And ABG Group Commit To Another Decade Of Partnership

Budget Saudi, a leading car rental company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has recently announced the renewal of its Budget & Payless Franchise agreement with Avis Budget Group. This extension solidifies their partnership for another decade, until 2033. As the world's single largest franchise owner of ABG group in this category, Unitrans Group, operating under its flagship brand Budget Saudi, has established a significant presence with a 45-year legacy in Saudi Arabia. This partnership renewal was officially confirmed at a signing ceremony during the Avis Budget Group’s Middle East Conference in Jeddah.

The ceremony saw Hans Mueller, VP Global Licensees, ABG Group; and Fawaz Abdullah Danish, President and Group CEO, Budget Saudi, formalizing the agreement. The event was notable for its gathering of Avis Budget Group executives and senior management from across the globe, alongside delegates from the GCC, Jordan, Lebanon, and Kazakhstan. This renewal comes on the heels of Budget Saudi's announcement of a robust financial performance for 2023, with profitability exceeding SAR 277.3 million ($73 million), marking a 10% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the company reported a revenue growth of 34.4% over the previous year.

Budget Saudi Renews ABG Deal

Fawaz Danish commented on the renewal, highlighting it as a testament to Avis Budget Group's confidence in Budget Saudi's consistent delivery and growth potential. He emphasized the strategic positioning of the Budget & Payless brand within Saudi Arabia's market and outlined the company's vision to become the most comprehensive transportation solutions provider in the Kingdom. Danish also shared insights into Budget Saudi's ambitious growth plans over the next five years.

As part of its expansion strategy and commitment to Vision 2030, Budget Saudi has introduced several sustainable green initiatives aimed at reducing its fleet's carbon footprint. The company has expanded its offerings to include electric vehicles (EVs) for rental and leasing services. These efforts are aligned with advancing Saudi Arabia's EV infrastructure and are part of the broader Saudi Green Initiative.

This strategic move by Budget Saudi not only reinforces its market position but also reflects its dedication to innovation and sustainability within the automotive rental industry.
