BMW Group Middle East Announces Karim-Christian Haririan As New Managing Director
BMW Group Middle East has recently announced a significant change in its leadership structure, with Karim-Christian Haririan stepping in as the new Managing Director. This appointment follows the departure of Dr. Hamid Haqparwar, who has been with BMW Group for an impressive 18 years. Haririan, who has dedicated his entire automotive career to the BMW brand, is set to bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to his new role.
Haririan's journey with BMW began in 1991 as a sales executive, marking the start of a career that would see him ascend through various roles across the globe. His notable achievements include spearheading regional sales in diverse markets and significantly boosting the brand's growth in Greece and Poland as CEO and Managing Director, respectively. Under his leadership, BMW Group Poland saw a remarkable increase in sales from 17,000 cars in 2020 to 24,000 in 2022.

"I am thrilled to welcome Karim-Christian to his new position, and I am certain that with our shared principles, trust and commitment, we will continue the success story of BMW Group in the region," expressed Jean-Philippe Parain, Senior Vice President Sales for Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa at BMW Group.
Dr. Haqparwar's tenure as Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East since 2018 has been marked by exceptional results and innovative approaches to mobility. His leadership was particularly notable during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Dr. Haqparwar played a pivotal role in steering the company towards sustainable mobility and embracing cutting-edge technologies like esports and blockchain.
The transition marks both an end and a beginning for BMW Group Middle East. As Haririan takes the helm, his extensive experience across various global markets is expected to be invaluable. His predecessor, Dr. Haqparwar, leaves behind a legacy of growth, innovation, and resilience that has significantly shaped the company's trajectory in the region.
"As we welcome a new chapter, we also bid farewell to a highly respected colleague, Dr. Hamid Haqparwar. Since joining BMW Group in 2006, Hamid has made significant contributions across the board at BMW. His unwavering commitment to sustained growth and innovation have left an indelible mark on the company," Parain concluded.
This leadership change comes at a pivotal time for BMW Group Middle East as it continues to navigate through evolving market dynamics and consumer preferences. With Haririan at the forefront, the company looks forward to continuing its legacy of excellence and innovation in the automotive industry.
